[2026] I have known Ametaphor for a little over 2 years. I first discovered her at an event where she was singing and playing sound bowls. I was completely blown away by her talent! I was introduced to her by a mutual producer we know and from there we became really good friends. I shared with her that I was interested in making music, but I had no idea where to start. I’ve never made music before and I shared voice recordings on my phone. She invited me to take her course [DAWlphin Mothership: Viral-Ready Sounds 101] about music production and it made me feel confident in making music. I’m happy to say that we are working on my EP and just released a single. I never thought this dream I had since I was a little girl would come true. Working with Ametaphor has been both artistically and spiritually transformative. The way she can take your ideas and imagery and transform them into sound is unreal. In our sessions, I feel comfortable enough to close my eyes and speak a stream of consciousness to describe what I want from my music and she creates the perfect sound. We’ve been working on this music for almost a year and I’ve felt a lot of imposter syndrome creating music as a newbie, but the wisdom she imparts on me every single time we work together leaves me inspired, energized and excited to continue on my journey. Ametaphor is more than a producer, she is an alchemist that intuitively provides artist with the tools they need to become the artist they want to be. With her mentorship, and her talent I finally released Dance It Away (528 Hz) a couple of months ago and I can’t wait to release the full project.

I started from ground zero - legit no music experience and the only DAW I used was garage band for podcast recording. I wasn't 100% sure that this course content [DAWlphin Mothership Sounds 101] was what I was looking for, but it turned out to be SO MUCH MORE than I could have imagined! I was so lost on where to begin this journey and after completing this course I know exactly what I need to do for my specific music goals. I also found my new favourite DAW to work in!! Ametaphor is such an amazing teacher - the lessons were packed with info and she always took time to answer my many questions and make sure the lot of us were all understanding/keeping up with the course content. This experience was really amazing especially ‘cause I've never done anything like this before. I've never had guidance on recording and in real-time; I've always just kind of tried to do lessons not recording, and then try to jump in with that skill, but it's so helpful to do it in real-time because it does give me a lot more creative clarity and confidence. I'm able to see better where my strengths are and where my areas of growth are - things that I didn't even notice about my enunciation. I would practice with singers that would not want you to enunciate as much. I'm so focused on projecting cause I felt like that would take away from the production, but knowing things that you told me - it’s really helpful to see that that's actually something that can strengthen my singing! So, overall this was really awesome because this was way more seamless than if I had just done this alone.

I felt that my overall vocal production and clarity was expedited within 10 mins into my first lesson!
